How picks are made

No AI picks your books. Every book is described by what it's made of: its genres and subjects, where and when it's set, its author, its series, its era, who it's written for, its form (a novel, poetry, a graphic novel) and words from its description. Picks are the books that share the most with yours, and rare shared traits count for more than common ones.

The list is balanced so no one series or author fills it: one book per series and two per author near the top, and a series comes in at its first book. The "why it fits" line under each pick names only traits that actually counted, and never spoilers. Under Steer, tap a trait to get more of it, or tap it again to leave it out.
