Privacy
No accounts, no ads and no tracking cookies. Visits are counted anonymously. Here's everything the site keeps, and where.

In your browser
- Your services, the library-card switch and Shelf or List view are kept in this browser's local storage, so they're there next time. They leave your device only as part of a request for picks.
- Your picks, steering, filters and sort live in the page's address, so a link you share carries them.
- The site sets no cookies for visitors. (The site's owner gets one sign-in cookie for the owner page.) Clearing this site's data in your browser removes everything it kept.
On our server
- Picks: to answer a request, the server receives the titles you picked, your steering and your filters, including your services. It doesn't store them.
- "Good match?": if you answer, we keep the title, your picks, the traits its "why it fits" line named, where it stood in the results, and your answer (with "Other", the words you typed). Nothing about you. Tapping your answer again deletes it. Answers are used to improve the picks.
- Feedback: if you send some, we keep your message, the page you were on (its address, so including your picks and filters) and, only if you give one, your email, used just to reply. Ask us to delete it any time.
- Abuse limits: to stop floods of requests, we count requests per visitor using a one-way, salted scramble of your IP address. The address itself is never stored, and the counts are deleted after about a day.
- Visit counts: Vercel Web Analytics counts page views without cookies, plus a few actions: a pick added (and whether from search, a starter or More like this), details opened, a trailer played, a link out, a Steer chip or filter changed, the sort or view changed, a share link copied, Show more, and feedback sent. It records the page's path only, never which titles you picked.
- Hosting: the site runs on Vercel, with the database on Neon. Like any web host, Vercel keeps standard request logs, such as IP addresses and browser details, for security and operations, under its own privacy policy.
Other sites your browser talks to
- TMDB's image server (image.tmdb.org) sends posters, stills and service logos. Like any image request, it sees your IP address.
- YouTube: when you open a title that has a trailer, a still from the trailer loads from YouTube's image server (i.ytimg.com). The player loads from youtube-nocookie.com only when you press play, and YouTube's own privacy policy applies from then on.
- Links to TMDB, JustWatch, Rotten Tomatoes and other sites open those sites, under their own policies.
